Prof Danshik Dajab conducted his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the St. Petersburg Bonch-Bruevich University of Telecommunications, in the Russian Federation where he obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Automatic Electrical Communication Engineering. He later obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He has been briefly both an Engineer with Leningrad Telephone Networks, Russia and a Senior Executive Engineer at Intercellular Nigeria Ltd before joining the Ahmadu Bello University.
While at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof Dajab held many responsibilities which included: Coordinator, CISCO Networking Academy, ABU Zaria (2006– 2009), Deputy Director, ICT Directorate, ABU Zaria (2006– 2009), Ag. Director, Iya Abubakar Computer Center, ABU Zaria (2006–2009), and Director, Information and Comm Tech Directorate, ABU Zaria (2009-2014) in addition to being an active Academic in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Prof Dajab currently works at the University of Jos, Nigeria, where he is both the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Engineering, as well as the Head of Department Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Since 2000 he has been a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) USA. Prof Dajab is also a Distinguished Member of the Computer Society (CS) and the Communications Society (ComSoc) all of the IEEE. Within his career, he has Acted as a PhD Evaluation Committee Member and Examiner at several Universities in Nigeria.
His Research interests include Spectrum Modulations; Wireless and Mobile Communications; Error Control in Digital Systems, Network management, and modeling. Prof Dajab has more than Forty-three (43) Articles/Publications in Journals and Peer-Reviewed Conference Proceedings.
He is driven by a passion for challenging technologies that have the potential to impact on development. Prof Dajab does not only have an unwavering resolve to achieve in every endeavor but is also passionate about community development.
