The road to a master’s degree or a PhD can be exhilarating, but it can also be a lonely one, fraught with self-doubt, frustration and a lack of focus or motivation. From his years as both a student and a supervisor, Dr Farai Mlambo has written an accessible and candid book about the emotional realities of the research journey. His practical advice based on 30 hard-won truths make for essential reading for anyone embarking on postgraduate studies!
Dr Farai Mlambo is a senior lecturer in Digital Business at WBS and programme director of the Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business. He is also a research fellow at the Machine Intelligence and Neural Discovery (MIND) Institute, holds a PhD in Mathematical Statistics, and has taught, mentored and supervised over 100 postgraduate students.
