Brief Biography (English)

Dr Chipo Zidana uses statistical methodologies and collaborations to solve problems in human sustainable development, especially in population health and environment. Her long term goal is to be able to understand different health problems especially with cancer, HIV, TB and complexities involved using machine learning and classification methods with regard to different environments and climate. Over the years Dr Zidana's research goals and passion have been shaped towards data mining, machine learning, mixture models, data clustering generalized linear models and dimension reduction in alleviating biomedical challenges. She also has experience and Publications in qualitative methodologies for infectious diseases, especially HIV and Tuberculosis and breast cancer. Currently, Dr Zidana is using data mining techniques, density-based clustering (both parametric and nonparametric) and machine learning algorithms for disease diagnosis and prediction.
