Dr Binyam Agegn Yitay independent socio legal researcher. He has taught law modules in different tertiary institutions. He regularly present papers at local and international conferences. He is passionate about African related researches. His research interest includes African studies, Horn of Africa, regional integration, socio-economic rights, law and development. He has been one of the 30 students who won the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences–Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (NIHSS-CODESIRA)PhD research grant. He was served as a vice-president of Ethiopian community in South Africa. Back in high school, he was active members of Red cross club, nature club and he was editor in chief of a monthly magazine while he was doing his bachelor degree. Currently, he is also render consultancy service for private and public organisation on social and legal matters. Dr Yitay realize the importance of education as a tool for our planet’s problem, whether it is climate change, abject poverty, carbon emission, extremism, nuclear proliferation, inequality of all forms, child labour, women trafficking, food insecurity. He believe in education and research could be vital for identifying the problems of our world. He has carried out numerous research papers on the themes of human rights, regional integration, food security, socio economic rights, poverty reduction, Horn of Africa, conflict resolution, trade and investment. He believes he was born to change the world, born to promote social justice, human rights, equality and born to make the world the better place to live in.
