Alexander Nimo Wiredu is Scientist at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture. He apply innovative approaches to generate relevant socioeconomic information for the design and implementation of agriculture and development interventions that improve livelihoods, productivity/performance, well-being, wealth and equality, and reduce poverty and food insecurity in rural and developing economies. These approaches enabled him to contribute, effectively, to the design and implementation of development projects in the capacity of Agricultural Economist, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist, Impact Assessment Specialist and a Project Leader in sub-Sahara Africa. Wiredu's broad professional network and strategic partnerships has enhance his ability to apply rigorous socioeconomic research tools across sub-Sahara Africa. Wiredu's experience in project/program evaluation, as evidenced the themes of most of his publications, have been useful in ex-ante and ex-post evaluation of the impacts of such interventions.
