Brief Biography (English)
Professor John Ross Wilson is an applied ecologist, focussing on biological invasions and, in general, how evolutionary and anthropogenic factors interact to shape the distribution of organisms and the consequences of this for management and regulation. His current research focuses on developing procedures and practices for identifying and responding to alien plant incursions, developing indicators that can be used to report and monitor the state of biological invasions, and developing practical solutions to analyse the risks posed by biological invasions.
