Robert Wilkinson is Honorary Professor in Medicine and Director of the Wellcome Centre for Infectious Diseases Research in Africa (CIDRI-Africa) at the University of Cape Town (UCT). He is Honorary Professor in the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University College London (UCL), Professor in Infectious Diseases at Imperial College London, and Group Leader at The Francis Crick Institute in London. Wilkinson’s interests are focused on clinical and immunological aspects of tuberculosis, particularly in the context of HIV-1 infection. He is also a Member of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) and a Member of the Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine at UCT.
