Professor Fredrick Wanyama is Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Research and Student Affairs at Kisii University and an Associate Professor of Political Science at Maseno University. With research interest in comparative and development politics, he has contributed many chapters to academic books and several peer reviewed articles to refereed journals. He is the author of Cooperatives and the Sustainable Development Goals: A Contribution to the Post-2015 Development Agenda (Geneva: ILO, 2014) and co-editor of Cooperating out of Poverty: the Renaissance of the African Cooperative Movement (Geneva: ILO, 2008). Prof.Wanyama is a Fulbright Scholar; a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Scholar; and a Fellow of the Five College African Scholars Program, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, United States. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Maseno University, Kenya.
