Dr. Daniel Wamwangi is an Associate Professor at the School of Physics at the University of the Witwatersrand. He received his PhD. in Experimental Condensed Matter from the 1st Institute of New Materials 1A RWTH Aachen University, Germany. After completing his PhD dissertation, he continued his post-doctoral research in a project on Solid State-based Phase change random access memories under the auspices of the RWTH-Aachen -Samsung Electronics Co amongst another post-doctoral research. Dr. Wamwangi’s research interests entail on the development of novel thin film-based materials for energy conversation, electronic and magnetic storage, and comprehensive property correlations using light-scattering and Physical Property Measurement Systems.
