Wynand Vlok is a Biologist who specializes in water quality and ecology. He was Senior lecturer at the University of Limpopo. The experience of farming in a water-scarce environment led him to complete a second Master’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture. He is Member of the Professional Learned Society, the Southern African Society of Aquatic Scientists (SASAqS) and is registered as a professional Natural Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP 400109/95) He was involved in several international projects, collaborating with scientists from Japan, Belgium, Germany, Zambia, Namibia and Ghana and is involved in training in the water sector (Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Uganda, Seychelles, Botswana, Kenya and South Africa). Apart from research in Biology and Water Resources (pollution and quality), he is also involved in Environmental Impact Assessment studies, Ecological, biological and biodiversity surveys, the compilation of Environmental Management Plans and Monitoring, Wetland and river biological research and monitoring, Water quality analysis, Limnological surveys and Wetland/river surveys and delineation.
