Dr Adam Viljoen is currently a Senior Lecturer at Tourism Research in Economics, Environs and Society at the North-West University, South Africa. He's a creative, innovative and analytical researcher with a keen interest in niche tourism experiences. Intrigued by travel behaviour and motivation, particularly in events and festival context. New research frontiers include culinary tourism experiences, preferences, consumption behaviour and development. He holds a PhD in Tourism Management from North-West University, South Africa. Dr Viljoen is very interested in niche experiences related to culinary tourism, festivals, and events. He is an avid traveller, foodie, workout enthusiast, and student of the world!
