Brief Biography (English)
Dr Karien Venter is a Senior Researcher, currently employed by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Transport Systems and Operations (TSO) research group. She is a social scientist focusing on human factors in transport, traffic management and road safety research. Her research interests include naturalistic driving studies (instrumented vehicles), human factors in road safety engineering, the Safe System approach as well as traffic/transport management.
