Brief Biography (English)
Dr Corné van der Vyver is a Lecturer in the subject group Afrikaans for Education at the North-West University in South Africa.
She holds a BEd (1990) degree from the University of the Free State. Thereafter she obtained a BA Honors in Language Practice (2007), an MA in Afrikaans and Dutch (2014) and a PhD (2018) from the North-West University. The title of Dr Van der Vyver's doctoral dissertation being: "Storytelling as a teaching strategy to strengthen a community's identity".
She Runs a project in the Karoo where she uses storytelling as a Teaching strategy to teach people skills that may strengthen their identity.
