Dr William Tichaona Vambe is a senior lecturer in computer science at the Department of Mathematical Sciences and Computing at Walter Sisulu University. Before that, he worked at the University of Fort Hare (UFH), University of Mpumalanga (UMP), Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), Belgium iTVersity Campus, all in South Africa, Ministry of Education (Zimbabwe) and Harvest International (Zimbabwe).
He is also an Associate Member of the National Institute for Theoretical and Computational Sciences (NITheCS), The South African Information and Communication Technology Association Member, InSPiR2eS Research Network Member, Editorial Review Board Member for the International Journal of Fog Computing (IJFC), Reviewer of several international journals. He has supervised/mentored postgraduate students, published peer-reviewed papers, book chapters and won research grants. He is also an external examiner for several universities.
Academically, he holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science [University of Fort Hare and PhD visiting fellow at Mobile and Cloud Lab, University of Tartu-Estonia], a Masters in Computer Science [University of Fort Hare], a BSc in Computer Science [Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE)].
