Dr Twum-Darko has experience in research work and projects over the last 22 years had focused on the digital transformation of organisations particularly on businesses process innovation and the role of enterprise architecture strategies and more recently, the implications of the 4th Industrial Revolution. As an NRF C3 rated researcher in South Africa, he view digital transformation processes using disruptive technologies as a discipline that seeks to reinvent business, government, and community services using enterprise architecture principles to extract and optimize value in the limited resources for the benefit of society. This concept is informed by the literature on business management, information technology, and computer science. Dr Twum-Darko investigate these areas using mostly qualitative and/or mixed methods, guided by social theories. He has applied these research interests in Africa businesses, state-owned enterprises, municipalities, and provincial governments. Dr Twum-Darko shared some of these research interests in an accredited book chapter, 20 publications in accredited journals, and 25 accredited conference proceedings. I have 32 years of senior management experience in both government and corporate, lecturing at postgraduate and undergraduate studies in business administration/management, Computer Science, and information systems. I have offered seminars and workshops on e-leadership, enterprise architecture, and organizational e-readiness to multi-stakeholders towards digitalized society. These capabilities have led to the establishment of a Business Innovation and Incubation Centre (BIIC) in the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences (FBMS) to integrate postgraduate research with business creation, entrepreneurial and technology innovation skills to make postgraduate students entrepreneurs, employable and/or job creators. Dr Twum-Darko conceptualised and designed new qualifications - Doctor of Business Informatics (DBI), Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business (PGDip: DB), and Bachelor of Business Informatics (BBI) - in the FBMS which are to be offered from 2021 academic year. He has been the architect, convener, and editor-in-chief of the International Conference on Business and Management Dynamics (ICBMD) and its conference Proceedings respectively since 2015.
