Brief Biography (English)
Dr Gladman Thondhlana's PhD (Environmental Science) looked at wild resource use by the indigenous San and Mier communities of the southern Kalahari in and around the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in South Africa.
His Research seeks to understand the links between wild resource use and livelihoods, co-management of protected landscapes and social impacts of conservation, particularly with indigenous and local communities. Dr Thondhlana also has a key research interest in promoting pro-environmental behavior within household and work settings.
Much of his work involves interdisciplinary collaborations in both teaching and research.
