Dr Carin Swart is a highly skilled Environmental Scientist with more than 15 years of relevant experience. She has expert knowledge in designing, organizing and completing ecological surveys. Furthermore, she excels in scientific report writing and has published in internationally recognized scientific journals as a First Author. Dr Swart has previously been invited to peer-review scientific papers and recently received a certificate in recognition of her contribution from Elsevier.
As a Trained Botanist, Dr Swart uses a combination of traditional botanical survey methods with the latest spatial technology to apply to the project at hand. Her experience is largely based in the Fynbos Biome of South Africa, and more specifically cycad research.
After working with Geographic Information System (GIS) and spatial systems for over a decade, she has advanced knowledge of spatial analytics, map preparation and producing cartographic products for technical reports. In addition to her technical expertise, she has worked in the regulatory environment for over 15 years, specifically relating to permitting and environmental regulations.
