Mr Bresler Swanepoel is currently enrolled for a PhD in Biochemistry at Nelson Mandela University. He is dedicated and versatile biochemist with extensive experience in cancer research. He has special expertise in natural product research, mammalian cell culture and high content analysis (cellomics). He has a solid background in microbiology, enzymology, diabetes, drug-induced liver toxicity, anti-oxidant related studies and zebrafish husbandry. He is committed to the field of research and development with the aim of improving standards of medical practice through the use of natural products.
Mr Swanepoel is proficient in assay development and troubleshooting. He is a team player with solid written and oral communication skills anchored by scientific output and speech and drama awards. Proven leadership and supervisory abilities, developed through mentoring graduate students and working as a retail supervisor.
