Dr. Kamaldeen Olasunkanmi Suleman is a Senior Lecturer and Acting Head of the Department of Physics at the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State. He obtained his PhD in Applied Physics in 2021, MTech in Theoretical Physics in 2016, and BTech in Pure and Applied Physics (First Class Honours) in 2011, all from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria. Dr Suleman commenced his academic career in 2014 as a Teaching Assistant/Honorary Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Pure and Applied Physics at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH). He joined the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko in 2018, rising through the ranks to his present position of Senior Lecturer. He has taught and coordinated several undergraduate physics courses, supervised research projects, and contributed actively to departmental and institutional development. His research interests encompass Condensed Matter Physics, Atmospheric and Solid Earth Geophysics, Radio Propagation, integrating both Computational and Experimental approaches. He has published extensively in SCOPUS and Web of Science–indexed journals and has presented papers at national and international conferences. Dr Suleman is a member of the Institute of Physics (United Kingdom) and the Nigerian Institute of Physics. He also serves as the Chief Imam of the NMU Muslim Community.
