Daniel Sai Squire is a Biomedical Laboratory Scientist with a specialization in molecular microbiology and parasitology and holds a Doctorate degree in Biomedical Science and Epidemiology from Murdoch University, Western Australia. he has extensive experience in clinical laboratory practice in both private and public medical settings and has held key positions in several clinical researches. Daniel previously worked as head of the laboratory service at Lawra district hospital in the Upper West region of Ghana and Ussher Polyclinic in the Greater Accra region of Ghana, with oversight responsibilities in quality control, quality assurance, daily management and supervision, planning, budgeting, and procurement, results in verification and scrutiny, performing routine and specialized pathological analyses. Daniel has supported the development and running of several quality assurances, monitoring, and evaluation programs. He also worked as an intern biomedical scientist at Ridge hospital and Tamale Teaching hospital in the Greater Accra and northern regions of Ghana respectively. he has competence in microbiology, parasitology, biochemistry, immunology, chemical pathology, histopathology, cytology, haematology and transfusion science, molecular biology, health management, leadership, management of partnerships, data analysis and computing, communication, teaching, public speaking and has excellent skills in the use of molecular tools (e.g. Next Generation Sequencing). furthermore, Daniel is passionate about contributing to addressing neglected tropical diseases as well as medical and health challenges globally through collaborative research, both local and international. His research interests include but not limited to Protozoan parasitic infections in neonates, Neglected tropical protozoan parasitic diseases, Malaria, Zoonotic protozoan infections, Reactive Oxygen Species Effects in diseases.
