Mrs Anya Sonnendecker is a Part-time Assistant Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, with five years’ experience in the Higher Education industry and Research environment.
She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering in 2012 and went on to complete her Honors and Master's degrees at the same institution, specializing in the Fluoropolymers Research field.
Mrs Sonnendecker is currently working to complete her PhD in Chemical Engineering at the end of 2020. She is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. Mrs Sonnendecker encourages the incorporation of fun in Teaching chemical engineering and working closely with the industry to improve the representation of women in the engineering field.
