Brief Biography (English)

Dr Jyotsna Singh worked with the South African Weather Service, in Pretoria from 2015 - 2017 as a Senior Scientist (Energy Group Leader). During this time she was involved in national and international projects. Dr Singh Guided her group members, Developed products and Published journal articles.

Before that, Dr Singh worked as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), India, 2015. She did her PhD from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, Ranchi, India in Environmental Science and Meteorology in 2013. After submitting her PhD, she gained Research Experience in the Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University, Sweden, 2013.

Dr Singh did her postdoc at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Durban, South Africa in 2014. She is also a Member of national and international scientific societies like COSPAR, AARSE and SASAS.

Dr Singh has visited many countries - Austria, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Thailand, South Africa, Italy as well as Hong Kong, to gain Research Experience and Published her work in national and international journals, books and conferences. She also acts as a Reviewer of national and international journals. Dr Singh was Registered as a “Professional Natural Scientist” by the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions in 2017. Currently, she is working independently in the area of renewable energy, air pollution, remote sensing and GIS.
