Professor Fathi Sherif is working in Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Tripoli, as Professor of Pharmacology. He received his PhD in Medicinal Pharmacology from Faculty of Medicine from University of Uppsala, Sweden (1992) and postdoctoral training in Neuroscience in Uppsala University. He won World Health Organization (WHO) award for the youngest medical researcher in 1995 from World Health Organization (WHO). He is a lecturer of pharmacology since 1993 and held a position of head of the department, head of postgraduate studies, vice dean (8 years) and acting dean of Faculty of Pharmacy. Head of research unit at National Medical Research Center of ethno-pharmacology (traditionally used of medicinal plants and their potential effects on brain using animal behavioral models). Vice president of Libyan Association for Pharmacists. He published several articles in international journals. He supervised many postgraduate students. He involved as referee for several international journals and currently he is editor-in-chief for:
