Brief Biography (English)
Dr Jyoti Rajan Sharma’s focus is on understanding the disease pathophysiology of non-communicable diseases with a specific interest in pharmacogenomics. Dr Sharma's vision for the next five years is to explore the pharmacogenomics of uncontrolled hypertension and cardiovascular disease which will aid in identifying novel therapeutic targets that can alleviate the quadruple burden of disease in South Africa.
