Brief Biography (English)

Dr Parita Sureshchandra Shah's PhD is in the area of Biogeography with Specialization in Governance and Policies. Her Master is in the area of Environmental Planning and Management. She is an Environmental Impact and Audit Assessor and Registered with the National Environment Management Authority in Kenya. Her Expertise ranges in the fields of environmental planning and management; biogeography and policies and legal frameworks; climate change; ecotourism; natural resources management and population, health, and environment. Dr Shah has been Writing book chapters and journal papers on issues ranging from climate change, multilateral environmental agreements to ecotourism. She has been a Member of the Karura Forest Educational and Environmental Trust (KFEET) and have Coordinated the educational syllabus of the Forest. Her efforts in conservation have been recognized by the Oshwal Community as well as the Jain Social Group in Kenya. Dr Shah has also been recognized as a Trainer of Trainees by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife.
