Daniel Madulu Shadrack received his basic training in Chemistry (Nanomedicine/Natural Products Chemistry), his PhD was on the area of Biophysics. His research area is in the interface of Chemistry, Biology and Physics, where he uses physics principles to solve and understand biological problems. Currently, his research area focuses on drug design, where he uses various computational techniques, such as Molecular dynamics simulation and related methods including enhanced sampling methods such as metadynamics to discovery new or repurpose drugs. Daniel's research is centred more on understanding the influence of solvents in drug design, for example, protein-ligand interaction, small molecular conformation in solvents, etc.
