Brief Biography (English)

Ida-Keshia Sebelego is a qualified diagnostic radiographer. She worked as a diagnostic radiographer from January 2010 until July 2013 at Kimberley Hospital Complex, currently known as Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital. She started to lecture at the Central University of Technology (CUT) in August 2013 as a junior lecturer in Radiography. She is currently a lecturer at CUT and the modules she facilitate is Patient Care Management. She also participate in the Scholarship for Teaching and Learning (SoTL) project at the Central University of Technology. She won the Vice-chancellor excellence award for Early Career Teaching award November 2017.

Ida-Keshia has registered for her PhD at the University of the Free State. The title of her thesis is "Development of local diagnostic reference levels for abdominal computed tomography using size specific dose estimates". Her research interests are image quality for plain radiography, infection control practices in radiography and diagnostic reference levels specifically for computed tomography. She received a staff grant from the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) in the year 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2020. She also received the Thuthuka grant for her PhD, tracking grant from the NRF for the years 2020 to 2022.
