Dr Nathaniel Sawyerr is a Professional Engineer registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa and has been a Researcher for the past 10 years. He obtained his BSc, MSc, PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Dr Sawyerr Lectured Structural Analysis for the past 7 years at the Mangosuthu University of Technology. He has Expertise in the following areas of research, Denitrification of landfill leachate (wastewater treatment), bio-energy, environmental engineering, and waste to energy. Dr Sawyerr has Worked on various engineering projects in South Africa such as stormwater and sewer reticulation, geometric design (roads) and structures. He has Published several articles in reputable journals and has attended conferences in South Africa. Dr Sawyerr is a Practicing Engineer applying Research work to the communities and thereby improving quality of life. His ambition is to conduct practical researches on renewable energy within communities with no access to electricity.
