Brief Biography (English)
Prof. Lateef Salam is an accomplished microbiologist with extensive expertise in environmental microbiology, microbial ecology, molecular biology, and metagenomics. With over two decades of academic and research experience, he leads the Environmental Metagenomics Research Group at Elizade University, Nigeria. His work focuses on unraveling the structural and functional dynamics of microbiomes in pristine and polluted ecosystems, and developing bio-based solutions to critical environmental challenges, including pollution remediation, antimicrobial resistance, and sustainable biotechnology
