Brief Biography (English)
Dr Abdulwakil Saba has a strong research interest in fisheries biology, nutrition, aquatic biodiversity, conservation, and management of fisheries resources, and the corresponding human dimensions. He has been spurred towards gaining greater insights into the biological and environmental factors that influence fisheries resources and productivity. This will help to identify necessary management actions by all stakeholders involved with fisheries, aquaculture, and the aquatic environment. His Doctoral dissertation details the impacts of alien fishes on biodiversity, environment, and socio-economy in Malaysia’s Klang Valley. His current research focuses on the impacts of alien fishes on fish biodiversity, environment and socieconomy.
