Brief Biography (English)

Neil Roos is an NRF-rated scholar, a professor of history and co-director of the Prestige of the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholars' Program (PSP) at the University of the Free State (UFS) . He is Co-lead implementer at the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) National Collaborative Future Professors’ Programme. He is Editor in the Southern Journal for Contemporary History. He has published in Journal of Southern African StudiesJournal of Social History and Social History, and is the author of Ordinary Springboks:  White Servicemen and Social Justice in South Africa, 1939-1961. He is a member of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf).
