Brief Biography (English)
Dr Heidi Rolfes is the Advanced Research Manager for L’Oreal in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her portfolio includes raw material ingredient and technology support to the skin-care and hair-care labs in South Africa and Kenya. She is also in charge of our incubator and of the open innovation we do on the continent with universities, research institutes and private companies. Dr Rolfes studied chemical engineering at the University of Pretoria and then did her Masters Degree and PhD in the United Kingdom in Materials Science from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. Before joining L’Oreal she worked at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and lectured at the University of Pretoria.
