Brief Biography (English)
Dr Ribeiro is originally from Mozambique, I have had the opportunity to perform research and teach in Africa. He is keenly interested in thermonuclear eruptions on the surface of white dwarf stars. He has modelled both optical and radio emission arising from these eruptions and particularly developed models to replicate non-spherical structures. He is currently based in Portugal at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, Aveiro, where he holds a Portuguese Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia Investigador Fellowship.
