Brief Biography (English)

Neerish Revaprasadu is a materials chemist who holds the SARCHi Chair in Nanotechnology at the University of Zululand. His current research involves materials for solar cell and drug delivery applications. He is a graduate member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a member of the Materials Research Society and the South African Chemical Institute. He is an Executive Member of the South African Nanotechnology Initiative (of which he is a founding member). Apart from publishing widely and regularly, his editorial activities have also contributed to the advancement of his discipline. These include being the Associate Editor of Volume 4 (Solid-State materials, including ceramics and minerals) of a new edition of ‘Comprehensive Inorganic Chemistry’, the subject editor for Nanotechnology in the South African Journal of Chemistry, and associate editor of ISRN Nanomaterials. He also served on the Research Advisory Panel for the CSIR National Centre for Nano-Structured Materials.
