Professor Sekhar Ray is a Professor of Physics at the University of South Africa (Unisa) in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. Prof Ray hails from India where he completed his doctoral studies which focused mainly on photovoltaic solar-grade materials. He has worked as a research fellow and visiting scientists in Italy, Taiwan, Spain, South Korea, India, and South Africa. He also visited more than 30 countries for academic purposes. His research focus is on carbon nanostructure materials on spintronics, photovoltaic and bio-imaging applications. During his 17-year research career, he published 80 peer-reviewed research articles, including three in Nature Publishing Group (NPG) Journal with more than 1400 citations in internationally recognized journals. His collaborations work is related to more than 180 authors and nearly 50 research/academic organizations.
