Dr Solohery Randriamampandry holds a PhD and MSc in Astrophysics from the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town. He obtained a BSc Hons in Astrophysics & Space Science from the University of Cape Town, and a BSc Hons in Physics from the University of Antananarivo. He was a PDP and SKA post-docs based at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and at the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO). He is currently a SALT astronomer at the SAAO and a visiting lecturer in astrophysics at the University of Antananarivo. Solohery does research in galaxy formation and evolution using multi-wavelength data. He is a junior member of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) as well as a professional member of the Malagasy Astronomy and Space Science (MASS) starting from 2018. Further, he is a member of the African Astronomical Society (AfAS) since 2011. He was a junior member of the American Astronomical Society (AAS) in 2009 - 2013.
