Brief Biography (English)

Dr Nthai Ramoshaba is a senior lecturer in the Human Biology Department (Physiology division) at Walter Sisulu University. He further supervises the postgraduate students with their research projects.  He is an emerging researcher, and his niche research area is cardiovascular and metabolic syndrome.  His research has significantly contributed to the understanding of early markers of cardiovascular diseases. Prof Ramoshaba disseminated his research findings (oral and poster presentations) at local, national, and international conferences. He authored numerous articles and book chapters. In addition, He reviews articles from different journals.

Dr Ramoshaba is an active member of the academic community. He is a member of the Physiology Society of Southern Africa and the Southern African Hypertension Society, contributing to the advancement of his field. In 2019, his contributions were recognized with the “Young Investigator Award” at the Physiology Society of Southern Africa Conference, East London, South Africa. In 2023, he was selected to be a “Spotlight speaker” at the research day of Walter Sisulu University, further showcasing his active role in the academic community.
