Raimi

Dr. Lasisi Raimi is a lecturer with the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State. He was born in Eziachi, Imo State in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Raimi Abogun. He hails from Adavi town in Adavi-Eba Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria. He earned all his university degrees (BSc, MSc, and Ph.D) at the Department of Sociology, the University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Nigeria, majoring in Sociology of Development and Environmental Studies. Lasisi Raimi has been involved in several high profile types of research. In 2009, he got a prestigious offer as a Research Intern with the Shell Development Petroleum Company (SPDC) of Nigeria. He also got engaged as a teaching/research assistant with the Department of Sociology, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 2010. In December of 2014, he got a tenured employment at the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State as a lecturer with the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Presently, he is the Head (HOD) of the administrative and academic affairs of the Department.
