Brief Biography (English)
Dr Beulah Pretorius is a nutrition scientist with a keen interest in micronutrients, food composition and nutrient bioavailability. Her research focuses on linking nutrient quantity and quality of foods for attaining nutrition and food security for all. She holds an MSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Human Nutrition. She is a researcher at the Department of Animal Sciences, an extraordinary lecturer at the School of Health Systems and Public Health at the University of Pretoria and center manager for the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) UKRI/GCRF CaBFoodS-Africa project.
