Professor Refilwe Metse Phaswana-Mafuya is a professor of Epidemiology and Public Health with a track record of HIV studies for close to two decades focusing on marginalised or key populations - key implementation science, integrated biobehaviorak surveys, population size estimations, HIV combination prevention, etc. Ventured into Covid19 focusing on differential impacts, epidemiologic heterogeneity, competing  health risks, shared determinants with past pandemics.
