Brief Biography (English)

Dr Rudolf Perold is an Urban Geographer and professional Architect who Teaches at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa.

After completing his architectural studies, Dr Perold obtained an MA (Africa Studies) at the University of the Free State and a joint doctorate in Geography and Architecture at Stellenbosch University (South Africa) and Hasselt University (Belgium).

Further to his Research on architectural practice in the context of informality, he is interested in curriculum development, landscape architecture, permaculture and homesteading.
