Brief Biography (English)
Prof Nilesh Patel's current Research is on the cognitive and behavioral effects of the Catha edulis Forsk (khat), a plant that is widely consumed in eastern Africa for its psychostimulatory effects.
His previous research interest was in developmental neurobiology, mainly studying the effects of small electric fields on neurite growth and orientation.
