Dr Ifeoluwa Oyeyemi is a Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Nigeria.
She holds a BSc (Ed) degree in Biology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, Nigeria. Dr Oyeyemi also obtained an MSc and a PhD in Zoology (Cell Biology and Genetics) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
During the course of her PhD programme, she was Awarded the TWAS-DBT Sandwich Fellowship Award by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India (DBT), and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), tenable at the Bose Institute, Kolkata, India in 2013.
Her area of specialty is Genetic and Molecular Toxicology with a key interest in anti-fibrotic and anti-cancer drug discovery from natural sources. Dr Oyeyemi has Published several Peer-Reviewed Articles in reputable international Journals and a Book Chapter.
She has traveled to different countries to Present her Research Findings. Dr Oyeyemi is a Member of the International Society of Ethnopharmacology (ISE), the Organization for Women in Science for The Developing World (OWSD), the Zoological Society of Nigeria (ZSN), and the Treasurer of the Genetic Toxicology Association of Nigeria (GTAN).
