Professor Durodoluwa Oyedele obtained his PhD degree in Soil Science in 1997 from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Nigeria, MPhil and BAgric in Soil Science earlier from the same University respectively in 1988 and 1983. He is currently a Professor of Soil Physics at the Department of Soil Science and Land Resources, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Nigeria.
Prof Oyedele was a Head of Department, Faculty Dean and presently a member of the University Governing Board. He is an Associate Scientist at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy and of the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources (UNU/INRA). He is a member of the Soil Science Society of Nigeria, Soil Science Society of America, International Humic Substances Society, International Biometrics Society and Nigeria Biochar Initiative among others. He has widely published in ranked international journals and has attended in several conferences across many continents.
