Dr. Newman Osafo is a Pharmacist, a lecturer, and researcher with the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi Ghana. He holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the same institution with a research interest in inflammation. He is a member of various international scientific research societies in the area of natural drug research and pharmacology such as the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research (Gesellschaft für Arzneipflanzen- und Naturstoff-Forschung e.V. GA) and the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGh). He has a number of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Newman serves as editorial and review board member of some scholarly journals and has been a reviewer for a number of reputable journals over the years including Molecular Neurobiology, Immunopharmacology and Immunotoxicology, Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology and BMJ Open.
