Dr Hassan Kinyua Omari has twelve years working experience in various fields, especially interfaith dialogue where he has highly contributed his skills and experience in solving various problems and contributed towards organisational achievements. He served as lecturer, Imam, mediator, counsellor and Islamic teacher for 15 years in various institutions. He holds a PhD in Religion/Leadership from University of Nairobi where he also attained his Master of Arts Degree-Religious Studies as well as Bachelor of Arts Degree in Arabic Language and Religious studies in addition to bachelor of Laws. In addition, Dr Omari holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance from Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance, United Kingdom. He also hold Diplomas in Public Relations and Customer Service from Regional Center for Tourism and Foreign Languages, Nairobi; Arabic language from World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) Vocational College, Nairobi; Islamic Shariah from Kenya Institute of Foreign languages and Professional Studies (KIFLAPS); Translation and Interpretation from Language Connections Center, Nairobi; as well as Certificate in Business Studies from Institute of Commercial Management (ICM). Dr Omari speaks English, Arabic, Kiswahili and Kiembu.
Dr Omari presently works as a lecturer of Religious Studies and Arabic Language at University of Nairobi, Tangaza University College (The Catholic University of Eastern Africa), Mount Kenya University and St Paul University-Limuru. In addition, he features on Radio Maisha, Iqra Broadcasting Network, 95.1 Iqra FM, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation and Nation Television.

Dr Omari is also Chairman of Nairobi County Peace Forum c/o Office of the President, Chairman of Rahma Chokaa Society, National Chairman of Al Wahda Muslim Teachers Association, Director Religious Affairs/ as well as Secretary Majlis Ulamaa -Supreme Council of Kenya Muslim (SUPKEM) and serves as Chairman of Peace League Africa.
