Ayodeji Oluwatope received his BSc Degree (Hons) in Computer Engineering in 1995, MSc in Computer Science in 2003, and PhD in 2008 from the Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He worked for a few years in the Information Technology industry in Lagos before returning for graduate studies in 2000. He is a member of the Nigerian Computer Society, Nigeria Society of Engineers, Computer Professionals of Nigeria, Association of Computing Machinery, and a Registered Engineer. He is a Fellow of the Nigeria Young Academy as well as a Fellow of Heidelberg Laureate Forum. He is receipt of the British Council Grant for the African Knowledge Transfer Partnership. He is a Professor and Head of the Network Utility Maximisation Group in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Nigeria. His research interests are in the broad areas of data communication and networking with a particular emphasis on modeling, simulation, and performance evaluation of transport protocol in wireless/wired communication systems and networks. His recent research activities include embedded systems, IoT, and 5G. He has supervised several Masters and Doctoral theses. He has over 40 technical articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. He has also served as a TPC member of various national and international conferences.
