Dr. Idowu Ologeh, holds a PhD in Technology Management (Environment option); Her PhD dissertation is on “Assessment of Space Technology Application in Climate-Smart Agriculture Development in Nigeria. The study is one of the foremost in Nigeria on Carbon sequestration through Sustainable Agricultural Land Management (SALM) Methodology. She has worked on” The Use of Nigeriasat-I Images in Land Use/Cover Mapping for Cassava Yield Prediction in Nigeria” for Her MSc. thesis. This study was the first phase of a project jointly funded and executed by the National Space Research Development Agency (NASRDA) and International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) on the development of a model for predicting cassava yield and food security using remote sensing images. She also worked on “Crop substitution as an adaptation strategy against climate variability” for his BSc. thesis. This study was part of a larger project in the Department of Geography (DoG), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Nigeria. The project was sponsored by the United Nations Environment Programme and other international agencies. Dr.Ologeh's main research interests include climate change adaptation, climate-smart agriculture, vulnerability assessment, remote sensing and GIS, risk management, and science policy/diplomacy. She has recognized publications that have emanated from these research areas in both international and local Journals. In addition, Dr. Ologeh has cumulative twelve years’ professional experience in science policy and climate change; six years’ experience in policy research, and five years’ experience in the industry as an environmental manager and one year as an academic. She also served as either a resource person or consultant for both Public sector and Private sector organizations in Nigeria. She is presently working at Lead City University as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology. Dr. Olegeh shares his knowledge with students and also serve as their counselor/guardian. he supervises students’ projects and collaborates for research work. She formerly works at Dangote Oil Refining Company, Lagos, Nigeria as an Assistant Environmental Manager.Her major duty was to reduce the carbon footprint of the project on the environment. She also oversees the environmental impact assessment of the project and subsequent impact mitigation and monitoring exercise. Furthermore, Dr. Olegeh previously worked at the National Centre for Technology Management, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife as a Senior Research Officer (environmentalist) where She acquired skills in the conduct of policy research. She was actively contributing to policy research in Science, Technology, and Innovation (ST&I) and technological innovation adoption in small scale manufacturing industries. She has been a dynamic player in the field of science policy since 2008. She was part of the team that reviewed Nigeria’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy at the Experts roundtable in Ile-Ife in March 2011; She was also part of the final debate and adoption of the reviewed policy in Lagos, in May 2011.
