Professor Damilola S. Olawuyi is a prolific and globally regarded Expert in natural resources, petroleum, energy and environmental law. He is a Professor of Law and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics (Research, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships), Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria. He is also Director of the Institute for Oil, Gas, Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development at the same university. Prof Olawuyi has Lectured on energy and environmental law in over 40 countries in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and the Middle East. He was an international energy Lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP, Calgary, where he served on the firm’s global committee on extractive resource investments in Africa. Prof Olawuyi was also Deputy Director and Head of International Environmental Law at the Centre for International Governance Innovation, Waterloo, Canada. Professor Olawuyi has published several influential peer-reviewed articles, books, and reports on energy finance, sustainable development law and extractive resource governance.
