Prof Rotimi Williams Olatunji, PhD (born 21 February 1960) Professor of Public Relations and Advertising, and Dean, School of Communication, Lagos State University, received his Doctor of Philosophy degree (Advertising as Communication ) (2003); Master of Arts (Communication Arts), (1991) (University of Ibadan, Ibadan); and a BA (First Class Honours) (Archaeology), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife (1989). His research interests are in the areas of Advertising, Economy and Society; Health Communication, Political Communication; Media and cultural studies; consumer research, and public relations. He is a Doctor of Philosophy External Examiner to several foreign universities including the University of Zululand, South Africa, (2018); University of Fort Hare, South Africa, (July 2018), and University of Malaya, Malaysia May 2019, and over 15 universities in Nigeria. He is Fellow, American Academy of Marketing Science; Senior Member, African Federation of Public Relations Association; Associate registered practitioner in advertising; Member of African Council for Communication Education (ACCE); Member, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations; (NIPR) Vice-President, South-West Zone, Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN); Editor-in-Chief, LASU Journal of Humanities, Education & Law; Founding Editor, Media and Communication Review (Nigeria); Associate Editor, International Journal of Crisis Communication (USA) and a host of others.
